1. Thoroughly clean surface area where product will be
applied.
1. Test fit material while the backing is still on. If necessary trim material for optimal
fit.
2. Water is not necessary to apply to material but when
applying larger pieces it may be helpful to apply a slight mist of water to the
area being applied. Use a spray bottle with slight mist, or wet a paper towel
and run it over the surface. Do not add any soap or other mixtures to the
water.
3. Keep fingers wet during entire application.
4. Remove backing from material and align to area being
applied.
5. Start at one end of the material and using your fingers slowly
press against the surface. Apply from top to bottom pressing only against the
middle of the material. After the middle is secure begin moving closer to the
edges. Keep the surface wet and use fingers or credit card to remove any small
bubbles or water marks. To a certain extent the product may be removed and
realigned while the surface is still wet.
6. It may take up to 2 full days for any bubbles or water
marks that cannot be removed by hand to completely dry.
7. Once product is secure and no water is present, it is not
designed to be removed and reapplied. If removal is necessary, begin at one end
and slowly stretch product up at an angle to remove. Do not pull product back
over itself while trying to remove.
NOTE – If product is installed poorly, over a dirty
surface, or over excessively sharp curves, the adhesive backing may fail and
product will begin to peel back. Trimming may be necessary for optimal fit and
finish when excessive curves are involved.
